Updated: Nov 3, 2021

The breathtaking Phi Phi Islands are frequently featured on several Thailand trips. It is, in fact, one of the best destinations to visit in Southeast Asia if you are considering a trip there.

In this blog, I'll highlight some of the best places to visit and things to do in the Phi Phi Islands, whether for a day trip or consecutive nights. The Phi Phi Islands are a six-island archipelago, with Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh serving as the main islands. Pristine beaches, beautiful rock formations, and vibrant turquoise water teaming with colorful marine life may all be found on Phi Phi.

Here are the list of the most interesting activities in Phi Phi

1. Phi Phi Viewpoint

The journey isn't tough at all because the trail is well-trodden and paved for the most part. If you get tired, there's plenty of spots to rest. Head towards Loh Dalum Bay from the Reggae Bar and you'll notice signs for the viewpoint. Remember to get water at the bottom

You'll be glad to find cold drinks, ice creams, and other refreshments for sale when you get there. For some, the hammocks will be very welcoming, and the flat rocks will provide comfy seating. Of course, the view is breathtaking. Both Tonsai Village and Loh Dalum bays are visible, as well as Phi Phi Leh when you reached the top. From this point, you can admire the island's 'dumbbell' shape and marvel at its beauty.

2. Koh Phi Phi Lay and Maya Bay

In the Phi Phi archipelago, Koh Phi Phi Leh is the second-largest island. Apart from rangers stationed at Hat Nopharat Thara-Mu Koh Phi Phi National Park, the deserted island has only one beach, Maya Bay.

Maya Bay encompasses all of the postcard clichés in one location, with crystal blue waters, white sand, and lush tropical foliage. Its international fame attracts visitors from all over the world during the busy season (November to April). The Viking Cave, located on the northeastern side of Koh Phi Phi Leh, includes rock paintings of what appear to be Viking ships.

3. Shark Watching Tours

Shark-watching activities on Koh Phi Phi Don are one of the island's most popular activities. A large number of calm black-tip and leopard sharks can be found in the seas surrounding the Phi Phi Islands. Shark watching tours on Phi Phi normally begin at 6 a.m. and continue about half a day. These tours are led by a trained guide and are conducted in small groups with all snorkeling equipment provided.

4. Pum's Thai Cooking School

Pum's Thai Cooking School is one of the most well-known venues to learn all about Thai cuisine's secret techniques and ingredients. Pum's Thai Culinary School, located in the heart of Tonsai Village, offers a wide range of cooking programs, ranging from brief 30-minute lessons (1 or 2 recipes) to 3-hour classes (including 3 recipes). Learning to prepare Thai cuisine will undoubtedly be the most memorable aspect of your trip to Thailand, one that you can share with your friends and family.

5. Rock Climbing

Krabi is a popular rock climbing destination in southern Thailand, since it has the province's tall limestone cliffs, which are also natural landmarks. Tonsai Beach and Diamond Cave in Railay, as well as the rest of the coast, offer world-class attractions. Although Phi Phi Don is 42 kilometers off the coast of Krabi, it has the similar topography.

The rock climbers' paradise of Phi Phi is Tonsai Tower, which is located at the western end of Tonsai Bay. The 48 varied bolted routes on this 200-meter-tall limestone tower range in difficulty from beginner to expert climber.

6. Doctor Fish

Doctor Fish, often known as a "fish pedicure," is a one-of-a-kind treatment that entails immersing your feet into a tank filled with hundreds of red Garra fish, who will nibble away at the dead skin. Some individuals find it thrilling, while others think it's peculiar. It's worth noting that because these little fish lack teeth, the sensation is mostly ticklish. After the treatment, which takes around 15 to 30 minutes, your feet will become usually smooth.

So, what are you waiting for? Experience the fun and exciting activities only in Phi Phi Islands!
